The Test is open to the general public. As an MMORPG engine, the game requires an account to be made, which grants access to both the website and, once installed, the game itself. The account is used, server-side, to store all the user's character data and other information. There is a hard upper limit on the total number of public Test accounts that are available. However, accounts that are deemed "very inactive" are purged on a regular basis, and there are usually a number of account slots open at any given time.

Once you have created your account, use your new login and password to login to the website, and select the Download option on the left. This will allow you to download a small program called the Vendetta Updater. Once installed, the Updater will then download the rest of the game, as well as keeping your copy of the game up to date with the latest patches as the development moves forward.
