Vendetta is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) in development by Guild Software, Inc. This game will allow players to create characters in a vast, futuristic universe. The game itself will take place largely in space, allowing players to pilot ships across a sprawling, unexplored universe. The gameplay philosophy is centered around giving the player as much freedom as possible. An open ended, skill based character system will allow the user to pursue their own direction, within the context of the setting. The forward progression of the storyline, while somewhat pre-scripted, will allow for great variation depending on the actions of players. Wars may be won or lost, empires may conquer or fall. For those willing to brave the unknown, the thousands of unexplored systems surrounding "known" space could yield riches.. or death.
